Recreation

Our Recreation programs focus on an Elder's abilities and not their limitations.

What would you like to do today?

Recreation programming improves quality of life by engaging our Elder's in physical, emotional, and socially relevant activities.

The key words behind our program design is to promote wellness, champion independence and choice, provide meaningful activities, encourage social engagement, create life purpose and having FUN!

Honouring Elders is a value we strive to demonstrate and inspire in future generations. Our vision remains to foster a culture that strives to eliminate the plagues of our Elders – loneliness, helplessness, and boredom.

Gardening

Our horticultural program engages Elders in interacting with plant life which we know has healing benefits.

Exercises

Staying fit is important and our physiotherapy department provides exercises throughout the week to help maintain strength and mobility.

Spiritual Care

We provide support for the spiritual needs of our Elders while Honouring the variety of faith traditions within our community

Music Therapy

Self-expression through music is fun, and promotes wellness through helping Elders express emotions, manage stress, socialize, and be creative.

Events & Celebrations

We believe in celebrating! Special holidays, occasions and even the changing seasons bring Elders, families, staff and volunteers together.
Laughter, singing and dancing with friends every Friday is good for the soul!

Art Therapy

Creating art helps Elders to explore their emotions, improve self-esteem, relieve stress, improve symptoms of anxiety and depression, and cope with a physical illness or disability.
